Be a Webisode Director
November 4, 2009 General, inspiration
A Webisode is an episode that is made for the web. In simple words, it is a series of episodes published for the internet or hand held devices. They are sometimes extensions of television shows and movies, and sometimes they are original creations that showcase an actor or a product. Webisodes are becoming more popular these days and will become more popular with the penetration of IPTV in the world market.
So, why not be a part of this craze and try our hands on camera to become the next generation director.
Read below on how you can create your webisode.
First you need to create a story. By far, this is most important part of creating a webisode. You need to have a strong story which can speak clearly in 2-7 minutes span. The more clear you are the better it will be.
Once the story is decided, you will have to put your thought on characters and actors, dialogues and scripts, props, stage and settings. A good story board at this stage will really help you to clear your already cluttered mind and avoid confusion.
Next you will need a camcorder or web cam, with a steady hands.
Now all you need is to click the button and shoot. Don’t forget, to make your actors rehearse before you shoot.
So… now you have recorded your webisode, but still you may require to give a few editing finishes and add titles to complete your webisode. There are plenty of softwares available on the net, right from Windows XP Movie Maker to Adobe Premiere. Pick the one you like and complete your creation.
Finally upload it on web sites like youtube or vimeo.
